Graybeard,
I strongly doubt 6.9.3 can run LabWindows/CVI 8.5 I cannot find any linkable documentation but seeing as how it doesn't support any 7-8 level regular LabVIEW versions I doubt it supports them in LW/CVI.

Thanks for the reply Jason. It sounds like your telling me that I can't use CVI 8.5.1 with NI DAQ 6.9.3.. Replacing the NI VXI-DIO-128 is not an option. Do you know the latest version of CVI that will support my configuration, or do you have any other ideas? Thanks.

Leo,
You can try copying the files in directly and if it works great. If not then you can try calling in directly to the DLLs. Which will be supported in any version of CVI.

Jason,
"you can try calling in directly to the DLLs" - can you offer more details on this, or point me to a reference? I'm sort of a beginner with CVI.
I re-installed NI-DAQ 6.9.3 and after some work, was able to access the DIO-128 (and all the other VXI modules) using CVI 8.5.1. I have some VXI configuration problems that I've addressed in another post (How to save a VXI configuration). Thanks.

Graybeard,
This is a great document covering many of the CVI basics and other FAQ.
