VB 2005 & ContReadDigChan_ExtClk Example - Exception Error

Just got my 6503 and have played with the read and write to the card and now have hooked it to a device with an external clock.  When I select the example ContReadDigChan_ExtClk or any example with and external clock I get an exception Error.  I have put the clock input on different ports and have tried several things but still get the same error.  Is it me or is there a problem with VS 2005 and the Ext. Clock call?

I have set my Physical channel to Dev1/port1/line0:7

and my Clock Source to /Dev1/PFI0

The clock is wired to Port 0 line 0 and the data is coming in on Port 1.  The rest of the settings are at the default.  Any Suggestions?

Greetings Robert,

The NI 6503 is not a correlated I/O card, meaning that digital measurements or digital generations are not performed on a clock. It is only a static digital input/output device. The supported timings for this device are On Demand or Handshake modes.  Each time a DAQmx Read or DAQmx Write is called, the read or write, respectively, will be perfomed.  There is no buffering or continuous acquisition of data with this device.
