W1 jumper on the PCI-DIO 96 for setting the signal level at power up time

The PCI-DIO 96 user manual mentions that Jumper W1 can be used for setting the signal level to high or low.
But there is no such jumper on the board. The signal level on all the boards at the power-up time is high. I need the initial condition to be low level or less than 0.4 volts. Please tell me how this can be done by jumpers or resistor network.

Hi Waugh,

I was able to find these explained well in the DIO-96 manual.

On the PCI-DIO-96, all of the 100 kohm bias resistors pull up. Therefore, the default power-up state of each line on the PCI-DIO-96 is high.

You can change individual lines from pulled up to pulled down by adding your own external resistors.

You would need to connect a resistor of 7.1kohms from the digital line to ground to obtain values of 0.4V and still pull down the line. Page 3.13 explains the procedure. It also explains why you would need a 7.1kohm resistor. Hope that helps.
