high speed sqaure wave generation

Hi,

I am pretty new to Labview. I am trying to generate sqaure wave (around 10k) from a DAQ made by Measurement Computing. But Labview only has 1k timing source and I used the 1k timing source and the fast square wave generated is 50Hz (became sawtooth). Wondering if it's possible to generate a close to 1kHz sw with the internal 1k timing source.

The DAQ has a clock output of 50kHz, wonder how to make use of it and generate 10K sw.

Also, the DAQ's fast sampling rate is 50K for one channel in continuous and burst modes, is that possible to achieve this speed with Labview reading data from DAQ?

Hello Rut,

Sounds like you are using software timing in LabVIEW.  Software timing is limited by your computer's processor and operating system.  If your device supports hardware timing you should consider using it.  I noticed that you are using a Measurement Computing DAQ device.  That hardware is not supported on this forum. To receive support on this you should contact Measurement Computing Technical Support.  They should be able to let you know what features you have on your particular DAQ device and provide you with example VI's that work with our hardware.
