niScope task automatically abort lead to error -88709

Here are some question about PCI5122.

I want to acquisition data off and on in a program, so I use niScope Initialize.vi to creat a task once and never close it until stop the whole program. Althought it works but I don't know whether it's a proper operation. Here come another question. When I left for a about 20 minutes and then back for another data acquisition, Labview report error -88709 (task has been aborted or a device has been removed from the system). Who release the task? Did the driver(niScope?) find there is a long time no action or computer system went into power save mode cause the abort?

Thank you!

Hi LiCat,

What are you trying to do in your application? Where is your data coming from? I have seen this 88709 error in the context of triggering. Does this error still occur if the system does not go into power save? Take a look at the following article. Even though it is using RF equipment, it may be related to your niScope calls. Also, I would suggest that you use examples from the LabVIEW Example Finder if you are getting started: Help->Find Examples->Hardware Input and Output->Modular Instruments->NI-Scope->Measurements.

Best regards,

Thank you, BROhan.

It's really caused by power save mode. I let PC go sleep by hand and then wake up, this error reappeared.

So every time data acquisition is needed, initial niScope first and close niScope when finished as the examples do can solve this problem. Thank you again.
