NI DMM software probelm

I am attempting to install LabVIEW 8.2.1 on my PXI station. I did the following things in step:

1. Install LabVIEW only without install any driver together.
2. Install NI-DMM 2.7 downloaded from NI website.

After did this, all things OK except DMM (PXI-4072) doesn’t work any more. When I ran NI-DMM SFP, I got a error as "One or more elements of the application could not be found.".

When I ran VB example, I got another error as "Failure loading driver module". When I tried to run test panel in MAX, I still got error: "NIMAx has encountered a problem and needs to close.".

Before I install new software, my old NI-DMM was working, so I believe the hardware is good.

How to solve the problem? Please help me out.

Thank you for posting to the NI forums.  Are you still seeing this issue?  If so, please post back with more information such as your operating system.

There is also another version of the NI-DMM driver that may help fix this problem.  You can download NI-DMM version 2.7.1, and post back with the results after installing.  If that does not work, as a workaround, you may be able to use version 2.6 for the time being.

Also, what happens if you switch the DMM’s slot in the chassis – is there any change or do you always receive the same error?
