PXI-4072 DMM Fails Self Test

In Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) the NI PXI-4072 is displayed under NI-DAQmx Devices.  When this device is selected and Self-Test is pressed, the following Error message is displayed:
The device self test has failed. The error report from the device driver is as follows:
Error -200020 occurred at Self Test
Possible Reason(s):
Self-test of the device has failed.
Device: PXI_4072_Slot3
Self Test Code: 305

The device has been reset several times, and the PXI chassis containing the device has been reset.  The device has worked previously.  Yesterday the device displayed this error message but a "Reset Device" corrected the problem.  The PXI chassis contains other devices that work fine.  The PXI chassis is used with a MXI PCI board.  Removing PXI modules and uninstalling/reinstalling software is not the desired troubleshooting method.  Instead, some understanding of why the device worked yesterday and not today and some more details about the error codes is desired.  Help is appreciated.

Are you using MXI to access the 4072? If so what MXI cards are you using?

Also have you upgraded to the latest version of the DMM driver (v2.6)?

Yes it is over MXI, PCI to PXI. The driver version is 2.5.1

Did you try upgrading to v2.6? If you look at the readme file of the v2.6 driver, it higlights under Changes by Release:

A change was made in NI-DMM 2.6 to ensure that NI 407x devices operate as expected in industrial PC chassis and across MXI configurations (including MXI Express).

Please let me know if this makes a difference.
