can't get external trigger on a NI PXI-4070 to work

Hello

In my app I need to aquire a waveform, the aquiring should start with an external trigger signal. I use the external trigger Pin (9) on the Front Panel Aux Connector to connect my trigger signal with the DMM. The signal is normally high (5V) with an 30 microsecond wide low (0V) pulse as trigger.
As Sofware I used the CVI triggered waveform example.
But the DMM doesn't get the trigger, it always runs into timeout.

Thanks in advance for any idea..

Ciao

Hey Olli,
There are several things we need to check.

1. The trigger signal is connected to pins 9(external trigger) and 2(ground).
2. You are choosing "external trigger" in the GUI.
3. There is actually 5V and 0V being seen on those pins (oscilloscope or dmm).

If these are all fine, then check pin 6 (measurement complete). At this point, if you see a grounded signal please call in to get tech support from NI at 1-866-275-6964.
