DAQ Assistant Sub-VI is not executable

Hi there,

I'm having a strange problem here ...
The VI I'm building uses the DAQ assistant to setup a task to acquire analog data with my PXI4472 ADC. I'm using the VI exactly as created by the "New" wizard from the Labview main window.

However, when I change the sample setting to "continuous" instead of the default "N samples", the VI becomes broken, showing the error "Sub-VI is not executable" for the DAQ Assistant. Testing the task from within the DAQ Assistant works fine!

I remember that it worked before, but it stopped working since I generated configuration code from the DAQ Assistant. A strange thing that pops up sometimes when changing the task is a window asking me to save the "DAQmx Read" VI. I tried both "yes" and "no" answers but it didn't help. Anyhow, it seems strange that it asks me to save something I didn't change ...

I am at loss here. I reinstalled LV7.1 and NI-DAQ 7.2 but that too didn't help.

Hi,

Can you give it a try with our latest driver version of NI-Daqmx?
Make sure that you uninstall any old version of the ni-daq driver first.

We cannot reproduce the problem but we are using NI-daqmx 7.3.1.

Please update me on the result.

Ok thanks this seems to have solved the problem. I uninstalled 7.2 and installed 7.3.1 and tested the previously broken VI and it worked.
