Hello,
I have a problem: I have a VI very old which was built in LabView 3.Now I have to update it in LabView8. I managed to do this, but I have a subVI called DSA12 which is not recognised. The program is not working without this.
I am wondering if exist such an alternative in LabView8 or do I have to make it? I really do not know what it is...
It doesn't exist neighter in LabView 4.
Can you please help?
Thank you

Not sure where DSA12 came from, not one I remember from the LabVIEW 3 days.
What do you expect DSA12 to do? What are the outputs.
It looks like it reads two datafiles and takes the input from multiple channels in each data file.
What data is in the datafiles?

/i saw that DSA means dynamic signal analyzer. And Its functionality includes single and two-channel signal processing such as power spectrum, frequency response, coherence etc., windowing, rms averaging, conversion to typical display units, and cursors for spectrum readout.
I am sending you also the files coverted in labview 6.1, maybe you can figure it out.
This program should colect the datas from an inverter and display them on the PC.
Thank you for your help,
Georgiana

Also, if it doesn't work, here is the picture of the program

it appears that your subVI just needs to relink...you can right-click on it and say "relink to subVI" and that should give you some indication of what LabVIEW finds wrong with that VI.
let us know...

the button Re-link is not active. is grey... 😞

So you've tried resaving DSA12 in LabVIEW 8 and right-clicking and replaced it in your program?

i cannot resaving it, because it was built in a labview earlier than labview 3. So, anyother labview older than 3 do not let me to open it... so, i cannot resave this DSA12.
I don't know what else to do... and what could this DSA12 be: it is a driver to an external device, a system of VIs...i don't know and this is a blocking point for me.
Can you think of something else?
I saved the description of this block, it is attached, but I cannot understand, being a new labview user.
Thank you for your help,
Have a great day,
Georgiana

From the pictures of the front panels, it looks like you have a time waveform display, and an FFT display. Have you tried simply re-creating the DSA12 VI using signal processing tools in your latest version of LabVIEW?
Can you provide a picture of your DSA12 block diagram? My LabVIEW 2013 will not open it??
