How to change the ip in W7 classmate?

Open your control panel (From the start button). If it's in grouped view (about 8 things on the screen), select View network under the heading Network and sharing. Another window will come up with Change adaptor settings on the left. select that and it should show you wireless and cabled. If you are using wireless, right click and select properties. under there, find TCP/IP v4 and select that and click on properties button. from there you should be able to enter your ip address 10.31.44.6 (for team 3144). hit ok a couple of times.

That should set up the classmates ip address and then I think you can image the cRio with the imaging tool.

I was doing most of this from memory so the wording may be off.

I think I may have mis-understood. I think of re-imaging as something done once using the cRio imaging tool.

But to answer your question, in the kit of parts there is a blue envleope with the NI logo on it. You need to use the cd in side to load LabVIEW onto a separate PC, laptop, or the classmate if you have to (using an external CD drive). You would then set up the laptop IP to 10.31.44.?? (?? is any number, probably about 6 unless it's the classmate). When you plug the ethernet cable into the white access point on the robot, you can then deploy the code same as last year (I'm pretty sure).

I think they didn't include LabVIEW on the classmate becasue it's an underpowered PC and runs LabVIEW fairly slow. But, in a pinch, it can be used.

Does that help?
