I can not get a motor to run

I have tried the sample programs for Arcade and Tank control.

I have keyed in the "Basic Motor Control" tutorial.

Neither of them would cause a motor to run.

I tried the Jaguar and the Victor controllers.

The motors do not go.

I am using a cRIO set-up that was just removed from our 2009 robot.

I have done the updates.

My first tests to wee if anything was working was to check the Simple Digital Inputs.

They all work fine.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Mike

Jaguars do not make good pets.

Poke it in the eye a few times, it'll work, you'll see.

Not the jaguar. The robot. Poking the jaguar won't make it a good pet.

Do you have the driver station running?

Have you checked that you are referencing the correct PWM channel?

I have checked things several times and they look OK.

In the "Basic Motor Control" program I have added digital input and analog input code and they work.

I have two cRIO's.  One has Jaguar motor controls and the other has Victor.

I changed the definitions and ran the program on the appropriate cRIO.

The digital and analog inputs work on both.

NO MOTOR control.

I believe that the PWM output is a pulsing signal and that my analog volt meter won't read a voltage.

Is there anyway of determining if the PWM signal is being created?

"READ the MANUAL!"

I'm sorry to have bothered everyone.

I made a bad assumption: When the Classmate Driver Station showed that the "Communications" and the "Robot Code" were running, I thought that the program was running. I finally took the time to read the DS Guide and found that you have to "Enable" the code.

Everything is working now!

Thanks,

Mike
