Hi
Since the season has officially started, and FIRST has removed the Document decryption key from their webdite, could you please decypt the various manditory software updates... and post the open versions?
It's a pain having to get online again and search for the key just to install NI software.
I'm sure it will prevent many desparate calls to tech support ![]()

Hi Phil,
Great question. Unfortunately, before we can decrypt these software updates, we must ensure that no new updates need to be posted. We are planning to remove the password in the near future.
Note: The password for the updates is "Breakaway4FRC!"
Thank you so much for your suggestion. If you have any more questions or concerns, do not hesitate to post them on the FIRST Community or call into the FIRST support line at 1.866.511.6285 between the hours of 1 pm and 7 pm. I hope you're having a great day!

I guess I don't understand why loading an un-encrypted versions of the existing update (now) would be so bad, regardless of whether there will be more updates in the future...
As it is, they are being downloaded and then having to be decrypted (regardless of pending updates). Having the same zip there, but un-encrypted would save potentialy 1000's of users from frustration.
Is it really that hard to replace the file?
Another suggestion is to add the 2010 "FRC programming guide" to this site.
I tried searching for this doc and only got last year's version.
Not all the programmers on the team are able to load labVIEW on their personal computers, so having this doc online for download would be really helpfull.
Phil.

Hello Philbot,
Thank you for the feedback. I know that R&D is currently working to remove the password protection from the updates. They should be unlocked in the near future. If there are any future issues with this please make sure to let us know.
Also, in regards to your second comment I have now uploaded all of the FRC Specific Manuals to the following Document: [FRC 2010] Manuals Installed with Software. Let me know if you have any further questions or feedback for us on this and we will be happy to address them.
Thank you again for all of your input and helping make teams experiences smoother. Have a great day!
Thanks!
