Due to the fact that most new laptops now no longer come with a PCMCIA slot, does NI have any plans to produce another interface card (USB or Express). If so when will this be released.
We have realized that many new laptops have no PCMCIA slots. Recently we are just doing the research on the new interface of FBUS, but not sure of the plan.
Hi Ryan, The other option is to use one of those PCMCIA to USB adapters - do you at NI have any experience with any of these as there maybe some issues here. Would be nice to know which ones work with the Series one or two cards as there are a few adapters listed & they are not cheap enough to order a bunch & try them.
Hi Ryan, Had some questions locally on this issue - it makes sense to post this issue as a seperate thread. At this point I am not too sure how to do it - can you transfer the maeeages across.
I don't know how to move these messages to another thread either, unless you start a new thread.
At this point, because of the design of NI PCMCIA-FBUS card, you can't use a PCMCIA-USB adapter to make it work, unless we make a new driver for this card.
