Duplication of device tags error

Hi,

In my application, I need to connect a few devices one at a time to the link. These devices share the same device ID, device Tag and node address. But these are connected to the link one at a time (others are switched off). I am seeing an error "Duplication of device tags" in the NI Fbus configurator and i am not able to communicate with the devices.

I will be able to communicate with the device if I close the NI FBus communications manager and reopen it. Please let me know if there is any method to communicate with the device with out resetting the communications manager.

I am sorry your request is not supported in the previous releases. We never assume some devices share the same device ID at all. You can send your request to fieldbus.support@ni.com. We will consider whether to add this new feature. Currently, as far as I know, this is no approach to

do it.
