FAIL ERROR

hi ,every body:

      when i import the .ffo file in the NI configurator ,there are a error which is NIF_ERR_DD_LOOKUP_FAILED.  it could't find dd attributes for item.and  The function blocks(AITB ) in the NI-FBUS Configurator show up as unknown (UNK), the problem can't be solved for a long time , have someone known the cause and provide solutions for me !

Hi Bob,

NIF_ERR_DD_LOOKUP_FAILED occurs when the attribute of certain parameters can not be found in DD file. The error comes from the DD file you are using now. The possible reason could be:

- DDS (Device Description Services) version is incompatible. That is, the DDS version of this DD file is not compatible with the DDS version your Configurator supports.

- The DD file is not well implemented.

I notice from the screenshot that the Configurator you use is an old version. There exists the possibility that this DD file is developed by newer version of DDS.

I suggest that you try other version of this DD file. To get device's DD file, you can go to www.fieldbus.org (search by device model name) or contact the device manufacturer.
