Slide Switches on FBUS-HSE/H1

Hi, I was wondering if the slide switches that are on the bottom

of the FBUS-HSE/H1 (near the part number label) did anything

useful like clearing non-volatile RAM, etc...

They are not mentioned in the manual.

The switch at the right is used to reset the linking device and the other 2 switches are reserved for the future use. Please refer to the attached file (Appendix A Resetting FBUS-HSE/H1 LD, and Figure A-1) for the details.

I tried the procedure described in Appendix A of the FBUS-HSE/H1 LD User Manual to reset the device and the

Ethernet STATUS LED never flashed, indicating a device reset (per Table B-1).  

The switch seems to have no effect.

Thanks a lot for your report! Would you please try the software way to verify the reset operation?

After the reset, please run Interface Configuration Utility or NI-FBUS Configurator. If the existing configurations (the most obvious example is the device tag) are cleared, it means the reset takes effect.
