View data or converting Trend Monitor TDM file to text

Question 1: When running Trend Monitor, is it possible to view the actual data rather than just the graph?

Question 2: Is there a way to convert the file from tdm to text or csv?

I have tried this application and I get a "Invalid XML file or error in model section" when I use the excel addin.

Hi Craig,

Trend Monitor record file (*.tdm) can only be viewed by Trend Monitor. The file is stored in the specific format.  Besides raw trend data, it also includes many graphic related data, which can be recognized by Trend Monitor only.  Sorry that it can not be converted to text.

Trend Monitor TDM file is not TDMS format. They are totally different although the names are similar.

To get the raw trend data, you can use the APIs provided by NI-FBUS Communications Manager.
