We ... (I maybe) started to believe that you gave up on us... With all the abuse from a wild bear... 😉
It's the "busy" season... All projects must be finished by the end of the year... Probably a similar syndrome for most people.
Glad to "C" that you're back in this thread.. 😄

CC:
Don't feel bad... looks like we are all extremely busy. I need to sneak in just to see what's happening...
No time!! No time!!! No time!!! No time!!!

E-LIST issue n°49
Two major events this week :
1/ We have been increased ! From 456 to 501. This is the result of an update of the "potential Enthusiasts" database. Welcome to 45 new members whose youth will improve the declining capability of our elders 😉
2/ you have been fantastic ! 217 active members ! Even with the help of the new Enthusiasts, this is truely a new activity record.
DevChandler is the week leader, before DK, Ben and Tst. Altenbach is far behind and away. And Chilly Charly felt to the 25th position (at last the works on the local DSL loop seems to be finished. Now, I should be able to surf the net at 20 Mb/s. Assuming a proportionnal increase of my reply rate, I'll pass Ben before the year's end...).
Seems that when the forum leaders release their reply rate, the others just occupy the empty space. This is something that could be verified easily if the forum leaders could stop replying during say a couple of days. Take a few mins to think about this idea...

Nice update CC.
You are now showing yourself to be a humble little frog. You are poised to pass me in star count, Greg McKaskle in replies and we should be adding a new "Proven Enthusiastic Veteran" very soon after that.
I like the idea about the top contributors abstaining but I think it should be a "regular week" i.e. not durring a holiday period and we really have to abstain (how can we stop Dennis? Do you think he would go for a Rubic's Cube?).
Also at what level do you draw the line re:who should be abstaining?

I asked "Also at what level do you draw the line re:who should be abstaining?"
How about those who average 1/day or greater?
Breakpoint is still available in the event withdrawl symptoms are an issue.

I can manage.
Just say when and how long.

And it is not like we have to make people suffer. We could set a new topic in the Breakpoint to allow those that are going to try and carry the load in our absense to solicit hints in the event they get stuck.
If we ever actually do the abstaining thing, I am hoping that CC's prediction of others stepping forward is correct. It would be cool to know that the Exchange has gathered enough momentum to keep rolling without the addicts.
BTW the blue bars are not allowed to play along

E-LIST issue n°43
150 active Enthusiasts this week. And some tuning on the List, reduced to 499 members after removing a few duplicates.
The top Enthusiast is again Devchander, before DK and CA.
