I...
answered your question,
offered constructive feedback,
offered to share the burden of public shame,
shared a new technique for handling error clusters and even
offered to let you define what "Good and Bad" were.

But rather than answer my question;

What is Good and What is Bad?

You choose to paint me as the mean old teddy bear picking on the innocent little frog.

OK, maybe I have been mean but you sir, have proven that you are a frog with genitalia! Smiley Happy Smiley Very Happy

Has anyone read "The World is Flat" by Thomas L. Friedman yet?  (It came up during one of the keynotes at NI Week, so I picked it up last weekend.)

I was reading it on my flight today and several things reminded me of you guys out here in the forums (namely OpenG and the E-List when he was talking about open-source).

I have enjoyed the first half of the book and would recommend it.  I was just curious to see what your reactions to it were.

Have a good one,

"So nice to have another curmudgeon here"

Cool! That is one more of my life's goals I can check off.

That leaves

1) Prime factor challenge

2) Re-writting the LV style guide

3) The Laundry Robot

4) World hunger

5) Free Larouche (sp?)

6) Pick-up eggs and milk

Hi JLV,

"

Actually, I think Ben is in the same boat...
"

Well I was but now there is a new issue that is hinted at by me soliciting info on ergonomics.

I wire too much! I use a Kensington "Expert Mouse Pro" trackball to do al of my coding. These trackballs are heavy duty and are warrentied for five years. I have worn out 4 of these in the last 6 years. Using the trackball keeps my carpal tunnel in check but I found myself coding on-site under very poor ergonomic conditions. I had to switch over to wiring with my left hand for a week. I followed that with a week of vacation to recover.

I have to admit that it was quite scarry facing the possibility of not being able to LV anymore! The good news is that I found the "foot mouse" so there may be "light at the other end of the Carpal Tunnel".

OK, I will attempt to answer my own question then.

Konstantin Shifershteyn (winner of the Dictionary Challenge) has a web-site that can be found here

http://www.kshif.com/lv/index.html

His property saver VI (see "ps131 71.zip" on the site above) is very good code. Check out his icons!

Bad code is any code that does not perform its intended function.

Everything else is just a different shade of grey. The "E-List" is a shade of grey that is vey close to the Property Saver.

E-LIST issue n°41

After a period of terrible depression following Ben's unfair criticisms, I'm again able to post the E-List week issue.

No big surprize, except may be the fact that the buggy activity data have been corrected.

Dennis is still comforting his leader position, running for a 6000th post.

Altenbach is not far behind Ben, and there are some good chances that this situation will be reversed before next year.

Tst is running at a low pace. Mike Porter is again asleep...

No time to make more comments. See if you can find something exciting by yourself. I'll come back later...

hmmm... may be I should add a number of 😉 and 😄 to the first line of this post.

ahh...hmmm... not really necessary. Everybody here should already know that the crazy frog is never serious 😄

Is the threshold still 50 answers? It seems the smallest # of contributions is now 60.
