To make things clear, just in case our math-impaired bear is lurking around, if you get a post with 3 5-star ratings and one with one single star, I'm afraid that your average will be 3 stars ((5+1)/2) only, instead of 4 ((5x3+1)/4).

I think this is a web-development team plot!
Since all that counts on the web is activity and not quality.
So if you post a really good answer, make sure you add a couple of extra "fluffy" additions so you can get the full credit you earned.

E-LIST issue n°43
Before I forget, here is the week E-List.
The activity is again lower than usual. Is that related to Haloween ? 113 active members, against 116 last week. Of course that's better than during weeks 38 and 39, but ...
DK and Altenbach are running at a rate lower than their quarter average ! For Christian, this is just enough to overtake Ben during new year eve, but not by much...
Falklp,
Something I didn't noticed : in the E-List, the number of non-NI and NI members is now almost equal : 228 against 225. The rank average of the non-NI community is slightly better (224 againt 230), but the difference in the reply score is highly significant : 290 againt 181 replies on average ! I don't want to be cruel, but even with Greg and ... Dennis + Ben (!) on the other side, the difference would still be there : 247 against 225.
LabVIEW customers are definitely better Enthusiasts than NI employes... I wonder what would happen if we were paid to give help ? 😉 😄

Falkpl, Daniel Tang and tbob are the best runners of the week, just behind DK and CA.

One light modification : the max number of ratings/thread has been replaced by the number of BreakPoint ratings. Don't know yet if this will be usefull to calculate the Enthusiasm index...

You did get your LV Champion's Mug didn't you?
RE: Christian passing me in the next two months.
It's about time!
I am still waiting for someone to take me up on my offer to award my original Enthusiast mug to the first person to correctly predict who will be the nine people that push me down into 10th place. This should be a lot easier now.
Any takers?

Ben,
I didn't get my Champion's Mug. Remember, I didn't attend NI week... and I'm not living in the US either ! The only mug I have is the classic one I got for wining with panache Molly's "find LabVIEW users" challenge (Thanks again Molly !). Sad, isn't it ?
Stop kidding ! Extrapolation of the E-List data shows clearly that you will never reach the 10th place. Your worst positions would be 6, 3, 8 or 5 according to week, month, quarter and year activity respectively. You should propose a more realistic challenge 🙂
BTW, don't believe that I could one day overtake you. I'm quite far behind, climbing rather slowly these days. And I have decided, already a long time ago, that if I were to catch you up, I would adapt my pace to yours ;):)

"I didn't get my Champion's Mug."
I just got off of the phone and that issue will be addressed.

That the rebelious frog that we have come to know and love. I had always wondered why I just cannot resist the opertunity to make trouble. It is probably due to one of my French ancestors.
Re: gettting paid to answer questions (again)
If NI paid me to answer questions, I would have to actually take the time to do a nice neat job and research my postings. That would take the fun out of it!
