Just got one again. 10:03 AM on this post. I just saw this message, and I've added an exception for the AdBlock Plus add-on that I have. I also have NoScript, but it was already set up to allow Javascript for ni.com as well as lithium.com. I don't have Firebug installed, but I've used it before. I don't really think it's going to tell me anything, but I'll be willing to install it.

Thanks!
If you decide to use firebug, I'm attaching a file that shows the response code they are after from the autosave.

I've installed Figrebug, but I don't quite understand how I'm supposed to catch that. The issue occurs when I click the Post button. I've never seen it when the autosave occurs. If it happens because there is an autosave at the same instant as the Post event, how am I supposed to see the response from the autosave?

Not sure. When you see the error, is there any response you can get in firebug? Or is it just blank?
Thanks,
Laura

I got such a message this morning while editing a post at: 11-22-2010 08:43 AM

I just got an update that a bug has been found causing this behavior. I don't know when a fix will be in place, but at least we know that the problem is identified!
Thanks for the reports - issues like these can be hard to track down.

Laura

Thanks for the update, Laura. Does this mean you no longer need the debugging information you were trying to collect?

Yes - that information is no longer needed. Thanks!

Just an FYI: I've started seeing this again several times over the past week. I would concur that it has something to do with the autosave. I saw it twice while I was in a reply. I was just reading what I had written when the pink bar appeared with the text "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested". This appears to be a different message than the one I mention in my thread title, which is what I was seeing. Perhaps it's two different issues?
