Mark own messages as read

I would be nice if there is an option to mark your own messages as read.
Now when I go to the main LabVIEW forums page, I see some threads where I have posted in and that have unread posts:
This glyph makes me always hit the link, only to detect my own posts.
Could this be changed?

Personally, I think this is the best tool we have for replying to threads we posted in. Before those icons were introduced, it was almost impossible to track your own threads. Since these icons only appear when there are unread posts, there shouldn't be a problem with going into that thread (when all posts are read, the icon changes to  or  ).

If you have problems with getting to the new posts, this usually helps:

If you're wondering why I prefer this to the tracker - it's because someone can reply to one of your old threads, and you won't see that in the tracker.

Until we get a feature where we see a list of threads we replied to and have a new posts, this is still the best method. Laura, you can consider that a feature request (again).

If I go to this page http://forums.ni.com/ni/tracker?user.id=44753 I see a list wit all threads I have responded to, and I can see directly if there are unread messages.
Isn't that what you want?

As I mentioned, the tracker only shows your recent posts in the first page. If someone replies to one of your older posts (something which happens to me reasonably often), you won't see it.

Ah, something likes gmail's function 'is:unread'.
