Due to some abuse and people being touchy, you can only rate if you have at least 50 posts.

I don't think that's going to happen. At least, not getting a rating hasn't stopped me from answering questions.

Aside: the only time I get annoyed is when I get 1-star ratings for providing the correct answer, but it wasn't the answer someone wanted, which has happened to me before on more than one occasion.

See this thread for more info. I have never checked the number of posts of a user before answering a question !

I have to agree with Saverio.

Besides, questions from noobs are the easiest to answer and are a good way for people to start their climb through the ranks. And its not only the count that matters but while our newest are answering those Q's the more experienced can review their replies and offer either advise or praise depending on the quality. This is why ratings should only be available to those that have run the gambit.

I wouldn't worry about not being able to rate others.  Questions will always be answered 😉

i would suggest you guys go one step further by allowing either PEVs or the one who posted the question alone to rate.Just look at the scenario where i get a real good thanx from the one who had asked the question and still i get a single star rating from some one elseSmiley Mad
