Hi Ben,

As a clarification, I looked for the links you were suggesting above and didn't see them in Developer Zone at first glance.  We are definitely not changing any boards or threads on the Discussion Forum.  Content, especially at the thread level, is defined by the forum users so you won't see any changes to Interesting Stuff or the Nuggets threads.

Is this what you were concerned about?

Thanks,
Laura

Hi Ben,
I work on the Web Community team that is organizing the survey. You're right that we're rearranging the homepage of Developer Zone. The Support homepage may change as well depending on the feedback we receive. However, the links you mentioned are links to individual threads within the discussion forums. We won't be changing any of those links so you needn't worry about having to reconfigure your common links Smiley Happy

The idea of the survey is to get a feel for how users view the content on ni.com. Internally, we're used to seeing our content (tutorials, example programs, KBs, etc) organized a particular way. However, this may not be intuitive for the novice to mid-range user. We hope this survey will give us a better idea of the organization that makes the most sense to our users.

Thanks for your feedback, please feel free to add any more you may have!

Hi Brian,

Will this break the links in our replies that point to KB and white papers?

There are a lot of postings that give the URL to the KB etc.

Good question.

The answer is no. Each KB and tutorial has its own distinct URL. Our reorganization of Developer Zone will not change these URLs. The content management system will remain the same. It's much like you said: "rearranging the furniture" Smiley Happy

Hope this helps!

Thank you Brian.

So why does Laura atuomatically get five star ratings but you don't?

Here I'll fix that.

Hi Ben,

For some reason the system automatically gives Admins 5 stars.  I tried turning it off a few times, but it always resets itself in a few days, so I gave up.  Smiley Indifferent

Thanks,
Laura

Well we are approaching the end of August and fall is just around the corner.

I hope we are still on track to fix the star system as planned.

Still looking forward to the improvement,

Ben
