Maybe this is why people sometimes post an NT thread twice. Maybe this should really be disallowed, at least for new threads.

In that particular case I posted a picture, which is equivalent to about 1000 words using established conversion factors 😄
The code seems to be halfway there. It detects something because it does a special response (shows blank page), but still sneakily posts anyway behind the scenes. Anyway, a blank page is never a good response, because of the lack of informational content. Best would be do show the edit screen again (unaltered!) with a red note asking to provide some content.
Other boards have mechanisms to prevent double posts. It would be sufficent to make an MD5 of each post, keep it in a list for 30minutes, and check if any new posts match an existing recent MD5.

I seem to remember that it worked exactly that way a few months ago (and it would actually not post the message). Something was probably inadvertently changed during one of the updates. I thought the blank page I got earlier was simply a problem with my computer (it was an old one).
