Wow... a poll

Hello Everybody:

It seems that the poll is not very much popular. It has been almost a week since I voted and it seems that I am still the last voter. It is either the topic is not interesting or the poll is not noticable. 😠

What do you think shall be done in order for more people to participate in the polls? :ODo you think that they should change the topic, or they should place more publicity with regards to the polls?

In my opinion, More people should join the polls because this is the statistical basis on how should NI improve their products, in this case, the forums....

Thanks to all.... 😄

Well, actually, the "Feedback on NI Discussion Forums" board is the only board that does have a poll...
It is located below the announcements and above the threads.
The current poll's subject is "Should NI disclose the thresholds for each of the user ranks?"

Hmmm.... what do you think? 😉

Ben,
I agree that this poll had no visibility, it simply got lost in the page noise.
Never noticed it before myself 😞

JoeLabVIEW -

The poll that they were talking about has expired.
Does anyone else have a question they want added to the community as a poll?

Have a great day!

Molly,

I suggest a poll that maybe would be like "What do you feel would take LabVIEW to the next level as a mainstream programming environment or possibly be more of a direct competitor to a language such as C++"

Now I know alot of customers use LV as this type of enviroment but I recently had students that were asking questions about LV applications that have no Data Acquisition involved and are sold more as a product based. I am just curious. I know recently there was a poll similar to this topic but I am interested with the new format if there will be more feedback. Just a thought. Thanks.

BJD,

I was in another thread (Enthusiasts-II) and was thinking about something similar.
It would be fun if there was a forum for experts (enthusiasts) who share their experiments with LV to take it one further as a development platform. Why a special forum - you may ask? For the reason that we could use LV in unconventional manners, to push the enveloppe. A place where there are no right / wrong way of doing things.
Simply a place to share discoveries of how far we can stretch LV.

Have you ever written a LV vi where you could have done it in C/C++. You did it in LV simply because it was faster? I mean outside testing / automation. Like someone who wrote a game using LV.

This would remove the idea that LV is solely used for test automation.

My 2cents... 😄

Thanks Molly,

I thought I already needed new prescription glasses (or more coffee).
