Omar,
I am not clear about the situation: I understand that when you reset the FP-1600 using the dip switch, it shows up in Remote System Explorer as Unconfigured with the IP address, subnet mask, DNS server IP, gateway IP, and time server IP are set to 0.0.0.0.But what I don't know is:
1) if the device doesn't show up after you power down, change the dip switch setting an power up again?
2) Or is it after you configured the IP adress?
If you are in the first situation, are the TX,RX leds blinking at all when the switch for the module is set to be in normal mode?If not there is something wrong with the module and you need to call the National Instruments Technical Support 1-866-275-6964 to return the 1600.
If you are in the second situation, check if the sub
net parameters are correct, using the command line in windows>>ipconfig command to check those parameters for your computer and check their validity in the configuration tab in FP explorer. You may also have an existing IP address for your module so I would first ping the IP address you are going to use for the FP 1600, check if it is in the same subnet and see if it times out before configuring it.
