FP 1601 status error !!!

Having connected our new FP 1601 to the PC, the error LED for status is repeatedly blinking red.  Checking up on the net I notice that this is 'an unrecoverable error'.  Anyone got any advice on this?  Is it simple networking error or circutry?  Thanks in advance 🙂

Oh, I should add that I can 'view' the device (at least I think it is, and not a ghosting of it) on the PC still.  Just says that the LEDs and switches etc. arn't working basicly).

Hi Fios,

This sounds like you have the reset switch set to the ON position.

Hi there,

It may be that the 1601 needs resetting or that the unit isn't getting enough power. Have you seen the following knowledge base article on our website, which gives explanation for the light blinking, and suggestions to solve this.

Take a look at the document, and the lnks included in it, about resetting the unit.

When you say you can 'view' the device, what do you mean, in MAX?

Have a look at the documents, and let me know how you get on, if this doesn't work then we'll look at other possibilities.
