FP-DO-403 outputs

I just bought this hardware along with various componets of Fieldpoint. Along with it is a cFP-TB-4. I am wondering how do I work with the output. I'm trying to make an output with 24 individual LEDs. Any assistance would be helpful.

Hello,

Please take a look at the Operating Instructions starting on page 3 for instructions on wiring load to your cFP-DO-403.  The Operating Instructions can be found online at: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/323354a.pdf .

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Sean C.

OTY,

Though the diagram shows just one output, the rest 15 are the same.  You will connect to their respective terminals given on Table 1.

By the way, DO-403 has only 16 outputs, and not 24 as you mention.

Well, I got another unit as well with 8 outputs, which makes 24 outputs total. Unfortunately, I still do not get it. More specifically, where do I connect the output to? I'm sure I can't just connect the wires individually straight from the 37-pin. I'm also assuming that I'll be able to excess the terminals using the Labview's software.

Hello,

With compact FieldPoint, you will need to use a Connector Block for each I/O Module.  For each DO-403 you have, you will need a cFP-CB-1 to access your signals.

You will have access to each DO Line from LabVIEW.

I hope this helps.

Sean C.

Thanks. Didn't know I had those parts. Now I just need a referrence for the wiring on the connector block. The manual said something about an I/O module operating instrutions which includes a diagram. Anyone know where I can get it?

Hello,

The Operating Instructions for the cFP-DO-403 can be found at: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/323354a.pdf .  The terminal pin assignments are listed in Table 1 on page 5.

You can search for any NI product manual at www.ni.com/manuals .

Sean C.
