FPTC 120 - can i give analog input to it?

Hye firends,If we connect thermocouple with FP TC 120, we are converting temperature in mV indirectly, and then giving to FP TC 120,right? Now can i give any analog input to FP TC 120? My analog input has the same range as thermocouple. So can i use it in this way or not? if not why? if yes is there any restrictions which i should keep in mind while using it?
2.) if instead of thermocouple i am connecting any other transducer, which converts resistance changes into millivolt readings, can i use it in this way with FP TC 120?

The [c]FP-TC-120 module supports 4 voltage input ranges; +/-25 mV, +/-50 mV, +/- 100 mV and -20 to 80 mV. If your sensor provides an output voltage that is within either of these 4 ranges, then you can use the [c]FP-TC-120 module to measure it. The primary restriction is the relatively narrow maximum range of the voltage inputs (+/- 100 mV). Another thing to consider is the input impedance (see the [c]FP-TC-120 Operating Instructions for more information on how the sensor impedance in conunction with the Open Thermocouple detection feature affects the measured voltage). Finally, the [c]FP-TC-120 module should not be used with high common mode voltage between channels.
