Fieldpoint IAK file and new user

Hello,

i've got the following problem with fieldpoint and the IAK file.

The IAK file for our fieldpoint is stored on the netwerk.

Everytime a new user is logged on I must set the IAK file for this user. This is not practical since any number of user can logon (pc's need a personal logon, general accounts are not allowed)

I tried accessing the ActiveX control for the MAX but this is undocumented and NI is not sharing much info on this 😉

Can this be done automaticly? (for example using labview?)

The software setup is:

Labview 7.1.1

LV Fieldpoint 5.0.1.2010

Hi Paul,

You can use the MAX configuration VI.

Measurement IO palette >> MAX Configuration >> MAX copy configuration.vi.

You can import a MAX configuration into MAX.

Thanks for the info but the VI not in LV7.1.1 (or at least I can find it) but only in LV8.2 (don't have LV8.0 to check).

Due to performance issues with LV8.2 (sluggish performance in large applications, i/o error while saving files) LV7.1.1 is currently our platform.

Hi Paul,

In Labview you have the Fieldpoint open VI (on the Fieldpoint palette). Here you can select a IAK File Path. With this vi you can load a IAK file for your application.
