Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I'm using MAX 4.1.0.3001. The cFP-2020 shows up in remote systems as 0.0.0.0 after I format the disk and reboot. When I assign an IP adress (or use DHCP, no difference), it shows up as the assigned IP address. That's when I get the two flash signals that means that "The cFP-20xx has detected an error in it's firmware." When I try to "Update OS" in MAX, it shows the Version on the remote and Avaiable verion on host as the same (10.4) and the "update" button is greyed out There doesn't seem to be a way in MAX to reinstall the OS.
Is there a way other than MAX to install/ re-install/ update the firmware?
Is there a way to fool MAX into "updating" the firmware with the same version?
Am I correct in assuming that the "OS" and the firmware are the same thing?
Thanks for any assistance that you can provide.

Hi Graziano,
I know how busy it can get at times! Thanks for the time that you've spent on this so far.
I can re-install all the other software, even if they are the same version, But MAX has the "Update OS" button greyed out if the OS versions are the same. When I re-install the other software, after getting the two flash code; I get a four flash code (unrecoverable error). The unit still shows up in "Remote Systems", but will not detect devices. That's about the time that I've been formatting the disk and starting over yet again.
Thanks,
Gary
