I have upgrade FP Explore to 3.0.1 and the help is now in the wrong language.

I have upgraded to FP Exlorer 3.0.1 and almost all of the help text is in gibberish. It appears to be expecting a different language. Also, where is information about NI Service Manager? What does it do? How do I configure it?

Notaclue,
The NI Service Manager is a display interface that shows the Citadel Server, the Time Synchronization Server and the Classified Ads Services running on your system. These services are a part of Logos, a National Instruments communication protocol. You can install it from: http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/c1a484551a75614686256ae300734336?OpenDocument

As for the help text not being installed properly. I think the best bet would be to try to unistall all versions of FP Explorer from the machine and then try to reinstall the FP Explorer 3.0.1 from:
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/7c99c563a473bc8686256b520056a923?OpenDocument

or you can install the latest FP Explorer 3.0.2 from: http:
//digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/f6b2ba037de6800986256c670054d93d?OpenDocument

Hopefully it would install the help correctly.

I am responding to your FieldPoint, help text problem.

You need a little program called CabView (or something similar) to view/open/extract CAB files. WinRar or WinZip should also work.

The files you need to extract are contained in the "FieldPoint14.cab".

1) Extract the files called "fieldpoint.cnt3" and "fieldpoint.hlp4", into your FieldPoint Explorer directory.
2) Delete the existing "FieldPoint.gid" (maybe hidden), "FieldPoint.hlp" and the "FieldPoint.cnt" files.
3) Remove the "3" from the "cnt3" and the "4" the "hlp4" extensions.
4) Double click on the "fieldpoint.hlp" file.

Everything should now be as it should be.

Thank you for your help. I uninstalled FP and tried the install again. This fixed the problem. I did not want the services running on my system and couldn't figure out where they came from or how to deal with them. Evidently, something messed up in the first install. We are all happy now.
