Publishing Serial data from CFP to several clients

Does anyone know how I can share information I am getting off of one of the RS 232 ports on the CFP 2020 with several clients. Since my application is embedded in order to communicate with the serial ports I can only seem to access the embedded VI one client at a time.

How can I share this info?

Can you explain me exactly for what you use the RS232 port  ?

If you like it  to communicate with severel clients, or to communicate to any device (and get from it the information which you need to share with the clients)?

Basically RS232 is for "peer to peer" communication, and dose'nt allow more than 1 client & 1 server.

If you use TCP/IP to communicate with severel clients, LabView support some ways to do this.

I have a lighting intensity measurement device connected to one of the RS 232 ports on the CFP 2020. When I embedd my application I can read off the results perfectly, however I need several clients (PCs) to use these results on their machines as well, not just my machine.

Have you had experience with this?

Datasocket is very simple way to share information between several LabView applications, running on PCs or (c)FP controllers.

Second way is to run on the cFP 2020 a stand alone  .exe file which will read the data from RS232 device, and publish it to many LV clients , see this link:

Third, you can also use TCP/IP read / write commands to build your communication with any LV applications.

Surely, all the PCs and controllers should be connected on a same subnet.
