well thank again for replying
that's the point, i needed a starter, I look up an example of temperature control.vi with field point control, and I thought this might work on turning on and off the heater and fan, but when it comes to configurating the temperature control.vi im a little confused how to use it to work with my hard wares,,, well it a simple hareware that will run with relays...
as long as it turns on the hardware using thermo couple as an input, and heater as an output,,,, but what module of field point that is low cost can i use,,,thank you in advance,, good day

NW, what are you planning to use to connect the thermocouple, fans, etc to your computer? Are you using a FieldPoint controller and modules similar to these:
http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/14873
http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/12204
If you are not using one of these types of controllers, the FieldPoint driver and VIs do not apply. We need to know what hardware is being used to interface your sensors with the computer. Cheers!

Hello nw,
The example states that the I/O modules it recommends are one [c]FP-TC-120. and a [c]FP-DO-401 module. In addition to this, you will need to use either a FieldPoint Controller like the one shown by BOB or a compact FieldPoint network interface module.

Hello nw,
The CB-68LP is just a connector block. Alone, it cannot do anything. It allows you access to the different channels of a DAQ card which you will need to purchase.
You can easily find out more about the National Instruments equipment you already have by visiting www.ni.com and entering the model number (such as CB 68 LP) in the search entry in the top right hand corner. This will search www.ni.com for any information about that product.
