Did you mean:

how do you replace a defective C-drive

The c-drive on a cFP-2120 appeared to be corrupted.  We replaced it with a 512 Mb flash.  Can't get the fimware loaded and working again

lewb,

Probably time to contact NI.  Just curious, how old is this cFP?

Lewb-

Your cFP-2120 has 2 flash memory drives.  There is the c: drive and the d: drive.  The c: drive is where the OS is stored and you as the user do not have access to (you must open the controller case which will void your warranty).  The d: drive is the flash drive that you have access to on top of the controller.  This can only be used for storage.  Therefore if the c: drive memory has been corrupt, the best way to fix it is go to www.ni.com/contact and “Request Support”.  Give us a call and we can RMA it for you.

What version of the NI-FieldPoint driver do you currently have on your computer?  The most recent version is 6.0.6.  Please make sure you have this version installed.

What version of the firmware do you have on your controller?  You can potentially upgrade the firmware on your controller which may fix this issue.

Thanks, I used a 128 Mb card and it seems to work fine.
