modules on 1804 not detected

Hi,

I am using cFP 1804, AI 100 and AO 200. Initially my cFP system is working fine. But one fine day, after I switched off the main power and on again, the modules on 1804 are not detected in MAX. The power LED on all cFPs are on but not the ready LED. I have tried upgrading the firmware but the problem still is there. After upgrading the firmware, I tried to detect and get reading from modules in MAX but I got an error message saying 'The device is offline. Make sure the device is connected and the power is on.'

I have no idea why I have this problem. Could someone please give me some possible reasons to this problem?

Hey Lee,

There's a good chance that something is wrong with the 1808 itself. I would first try uninstalling and reinstalling the fieldpoint driver. Then if that doesn't work I recommend calling the National Instruments support line at 1-886-275-6964. I've actually seen this problem before but it was with a real time controller. I had to formatt the hard drive, reinstall the os and RT and that seemed to fix it. However, the 1808 doesn't have a hard drive so I would reinstall the driver on your pc. If that doesn't work give NI a call. Thanks!
