LeCroy XSDSO .dll file not recognized

I am attempting to use a LeCroy XSDSO scope to attain wave form images. The powers that be wish to use the pre-packaged VIs that come with the scope, but I can not get them to work. They communicatoin is done through a node, LcXSDSO_32.dll, but I can not get this to work properly on either a WIndows or Mac OSX machine.
The problem is that the VI does not recognize the file, even if I attempt to select it directly. Any ideas or similar problems with this file?

running 7.1 on MAc OSX or windows.

I tried LeCroy support, but they say they do not support their software.

The issue may be either in the dll or in the way you are calling that dll in LabVIEW. Please provide me with more information about how you are referencing (or loading) the LcXSDSO_32.dll in LabVIEW as well as what version of LabVIEW you are currently running.

I am running 7.1 on both a mac OSX and on Windows XP.  The dll is called directly from a node, and its path is hardwired in the 'properties.'

I nw think that the dll file is bad, since I am now gettting 'function not found' errors.  These VIs came directly from LeCroy and shipped with the Scope, and they just seem to be faulty.  However, if there are any suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you very much for the clarification. One thing you can do to confirm that the dll is bad is to try to open and use another dll in LabVIEW. Doing this will help confirming whether or not the LeCroy dll is bad. Please try this and let me know what you find.

Hello Biller,

Alan from LeCroy Tech Support here...

I am not sure why you were told that we do not support the driver (!?!) Have you solved the problem yet?  If not, please contact me at the phone number or email address below.

Note that the LCXSDSO is an IVI driver, and requires Ni-VISA, CVIRT and ICP. This is described in the installation instructions that come with the driver.

If you continue to have problems, I recommend shifting gears and using the lcwave driver that is on www.ni.com/idnet. National Instruments developed this driver, and I have helped to debug and enhance it. It is a VISA driver, and you won't need to bother with communicating through the DLL as is the case with IVI drivers.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Best Regards,
Alan Blankman
