Variable DC level output on PCI-MIO-16E4/PCI-6040

Hello there,

Does anyone have an idea on how I can make the PCI-MIO-16E4 give me a constant DC level at a predetermined voltage?

I need to control a unit that uses voltage from about 20 mVDC to 2.3 VDC.

All the examples i've found use either a sawtooth, triangle, square or sine wave and i've got that working nicely, but none seem to mention a DC output which I need for this project.

Thanks,

Friðgeir

That just requires a DAQmx Write set to 1Chan 1Samp (assuming LabVIEW). The input is a scalar.

p.s. Your board is not one of the High-Speed Digitizers/Scope boards. The multi-funciton DAQ board would have been more appropriate. Also, next time mention the language and DAQ functions you are using.

Dennis,

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry about the confusion with the boards.

Hello Fridgeir,

If you want a pre-built example that implements this type of application you could take a look at the Gen Voltage Update VI. This can be found in the Example Finder under Hardware Input and Output»DAQmx»Analog Generation»Voltage.
