labview 6.1

I'm using LAbview 6.1.. yes old.  Can anyone using Labview 7.0 convert the third party driver for HP/Agilent 83711B from the 7.0 format to the 6.1 format by saving the download to the 6.1 format.  That would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

You can make it easier for someone by attaching the file you want converted or at the very least, a link. I also suggest that you post to the correct board in the future. This is not it. You could also post to the LabVIEW board to get more people to view your post.

Hello Nate,

I took a look at this driver and came up with one issue. Do you already have the Agilent driver 837XX (version A.01.00)? I could not find this driver on Agilent's website or anywhere on the web and this driver is useless without it, as all it does is make calls into the needed driver. If you do have this driver I will downconvert the VIs and send them to you. If you do not have it and cannot find it, I'm not going to bother downconverting each VI.

Just let me know if you have the Agilent driver.

Regards,
Dan King

Thanks for your help.  I don't have the agilent driver. Is it possible to run data acquisition without the driver?

No, of course you can't do anything without the Agilent driver unless you write a driver yourself. Why don't you go get it? There's a link to Agilent on the NI page that you already mentioned. When you get there, click on the VXI Plug&Play link and then the Signal Generators link. It should be easy to find but the page with the driver on it is here. Download it, extract it, and post the dll.

Have you attempted to write any communication routines yourself? You can use the VISA functions and the commands that are in the programming manual.

I downloaded the driver for 83711B  from the agilent website and this is what i got.  Labview did not recognize the driver.  Also My GPIB interface does not recognize the instrument when I scan for new intruments.

I don't understand what the difficulty is. You download the exe from the link and just run it. It installs several files and it lists the folders where those files are located.
