method to return bit resolution of detected DAQ card

In the application I am developing, I am looking at the posibility of a user using one of several scope cards. The only thing that is important to me right now is to have a .vi that returns the bit-resolution of the detected card (i.e. is it an 8-bit, 12-bit, 14-bit, etc. card). Any ideas?

Actually, NI-SCOPE (2.7 and later) has a property named "Resolution" found under the "Acquisition" properties that reads the actual resolution in bits of valid data for the session's High Speed Digitizer.
