Hi
I have 2 NI-6034e cards installed on a computer in my lab. Previously NI-DAQ was installed on the computer but the hard drive became currupted and the installation was deleted. We completly uninstalled the old version of NI-DAQ (don't remember which version) and installed NI-DAQmx 9.0.2 . Both cards appear in Device Manager (we are running Windows XP) and drivers for the card are installed. However, when I open the MAX program the cards do not appear under Devices and Interfaces. When I try to expand the Devices and Interfaces section I get a DataBase error (KB 42HG08DD). I have turned off the firewall and the NI Configuration Manager Service is running. I have also tried to use install legacy devices option in Tools but a message stating that all devices have been updated appears.
I really only need to be able to use the Data Aquisition Toolbox in MatLab to interface with the 6034e. I am able to register the nidaq card but when I try to use the daqhwinfo('nidaq') command MatLab produces and error. Any guidance you can provide would be much appreciated.

Hello Irfan Khan,
Thank you for using NI forums. Have you tried the steps outlined in the KnowledgeBase How Do I Clean Corrupted MAX Database and Start With a New One? I know that it mentions this issue is rare but we can't rule anything out.

then uninstall DAQmx 9.0.2 and install DAQmx 8.9.5
DAQmx9 dropped support for e-series. I'm sure NI recommends updating to a more capable M-series ![]()

I don't think that chart is correct. For many M series (i.e. 6220), it says the latest is 8.9.5 but the readme for 9.0.2 lists it and the 6034.
You are correct! I wish the chart was updated !Publish Date: Aug 25, 2009.
