Arduino set up error

Hello,

I am having trouble trying to connect to an Arduino with Labview.  I know I have the Visa drivers installed.  I have the Arduino software installed as well.  I can upload my firmware to the Arduino just fine.  But when I try to run a Labview program, I get the error code -1073807330.  I looked into the sub VI's and the error seems to occur at the configure port VI within the init (Arduino) vi.  Any suggestions?

jdskier1,

I'm glad to hear that you got everything up and running.  In the future if you have any questions please post on www.ni.com/arduino as this is the official LabVIEW Interface for Arduino forum.  I monitor the ni.com/arduino forum pretty closely and will be able to answer any questions you have regarding the toolkit.

For anyone else who is curious jdskier1 is using the LabVIEW Interface for Arduino to interface an Arduino with LabVIEW.  The toolkit is free to download at www.ni.com/arduino using JKI Package manger.  Setup instructions can be foudn here:

https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-15971

I encourage everyone to checkout the toolkit and ni.com/arduino.  If you have any questions or comments please post on ni.com/arduino.  I am always looking for feedback on the toolkit so please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Hey santhosh40,

Please post this on the ni.com/arduino forums.  There are many more LabVIEW Interface for Arduino users there that can help you resolve your problem.

Please also provide more details about your problem.  There are many reasons you could see error 5005 so we need a lot more information about what you are trying to do and what troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue.  For example, can you see the Arduino in windows device manager (are you using windows?) what version of LIFA and the Arduino IDE are you using?  Did you get any build errors when trying to deploy firmware to the Arduino (did you deploy firmware to the arduino?)  Did you modify the firmware in any way?  What baud rate are you using?  Did you explicitly wire in a COM port for the Arduino Init VI?

The more information you provide the faster we can get you up and running (also moving this to ni.com/arduino should help considerable since there are many LIFA users there to help out).

Thanks!

Thanks Sammy_K to reply quickly, i'll  forward my post to ni.com/arduino forums, and

actually my problem is explicit wire in a COM port for the Arduino Init VI.

1)i'm using LabVIEW Interface for Arduino v2.2.0.79 and Arduino 1.0

2)yes, i deploy that LIFA_BASE.INO file to Arduino, and there is no error

3) only thing i don't know how to explict wire in COM port for the Arduino Init VI

thank you

For future reference this is how you explicitly wire a visa resource constant into the Arduino Init VI.

Hi,

I am having the same problem as jdskier1. I have an Arduino UNO, I followed the instructions in https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-15971, the firmware was succesfully uploaded to the Arduino. When  I try to run a simple LED blink program I get also the error 1073807202. I wonder what is the file that jdskier1 got from the engineer, could I have it too? If this problem has been answered before, could someone please direct me to it? Many thanks in advance.
