Can a .dll written to allow VISA communication with an IP module on a VME carrier be adapted to allow the same IP module to be used on an ISA carrier board in a Win95 PC?

We would like to take advantage of the code we already have as well as maintain the flexibility offered to us by VISA. If it is possible to use an ISA carrier to access the IP module, what is the appropriate Resource naming, addressing, and INSTR formation?

Kurt:

For ISA, the answer is sorry, but no we don't support it.

If a PCI or PXI carrier exists, you could try using that. NI-VISA does support PXI/PCI and the resource string for that would be "PXI::::::INSTR".

Good luck,
