Cannot find GPIB in MAX

Hi

I have a problem in MAX and GPIB. I installed my GPIB card and driver that work properly. However, I cannot find the card in MAX's "Devices and Interfaces" so that I cannot use "Scan fot instrument". I use MAX2.1 and NI488.2 version 1.3. How could fix this problem?

What type of card are you using? If it is a non-NI card, then it will not show up in MAX. You will still be able to run programs using the card, you just won't be able to use MAX.
If it is an NI card, then run the NI-488.2 Getting Started Wizard and Select Board Type and Configure. Ensure that the configuration is correct and use the "OK" button to save the configuration (if you use the "X" in the top corner, it's the same as cancel). Then try MAX again.

You need a much newer version of the NI-488.2 driver for MAX support. ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/gpib/July2000cd/ni4882170.exe is the location of version 1.7 of the gpib driver, which should be sufficient for your needs.
