Ok I got it...

There needs to be a delay before reading the measure.vi, 1 second seems to be enough.

Oh, BTW, It works fine with the USB to serial adaptor, also I do not try hyperterminal so I cannot answer for that.

There needs to be a delay before using any of the queries, 1 second seems to be good. The USB to Serial adaptor is not an issue. Did not try hyperterminal.
