GPIB ENET/100 with calibration executive

Hi all,

CONDITION

I have to setup the calibration executive 6.0 on a computer which is connected to a GPIB ENET/100.

The last NI-488.2 drivers compatible with GPIB ENET/100 is the version 17.6 which I have already installed on the computer.

PROBLEM

When I try to install the calibration executive it notifies me that the NI-488.2 will be upgraded to the version 19 which is not compatible with my hardware.

If I try to downgrade the 488.2 after the installation of calibration executive the package manager says that it is impossible to install version of driver older than the already existing version.

If I uninstall the newer version of driver the package manager uninstall the calibration executive too.

Some one has any idea to solve my problem?

After opening this thread, the user created a service request which was managed by NI Technical Support. This was the reply.

NI Calibration Executive 6.0.1 is now supporting only 64-bit systems and removes old functionalities each time. NI recommends to use the latest drivers to support the hardware, that's why it's not possible to install an old driver with it.

The workaround is to buy a GPIB-ENET/1000 device compatible with the latest NI-488.2 drivers, or downgrade to NI Calibration Executive 5.0, which is compatible with NI-488.2 version 17.6.
