What is the difference between GPIB ISA PCII/PCIIA cards p/n 181065-01 and 181065-02?

RFourier,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.

The difference between GPIB-PCII/PCIIA is in the way they implement the input/output (I/O) address(es) and interrupt schemes for the board.

Please let me know if this does not answer question. Hope you have a great day.

It seems you did not reply to my question.
I was refering to the difference in the part number between 181065-01 and 181065-02. I have both and need to know if they are the same card.
Componant wise they look similar.

RFourier,

Sorry about the confusion.

The part number: 181065-01 is a GPIB-PCIIA, whereas the part number: 181065-02 is a GPIB-PCII.

Hope that is able to answer your question.

Thanks. Can I understand that as the basic p/n is defined as a PCII/PCIIA card, that the -01 and -02 is a dipswitch setup difference as sold out of the factory? Which means that one can change it as required on the spot?

RFourier,

The mode that the device is in, is switched using the dipswitches. From the Getting Started with Your GPIB-PCII/IIA and the NI-488.2™ Software for MS-DOS manual, the version determines the default configuration of the board. More information can be found in the GPIB Hardware Guide and Specifications manual.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
