Hello !
I just bought a GPIB-USB-HS but it doesn't work. I have all the drivers needed on my computer but i can't use this gpib-usb connecter because my computer can't find it.
When I open NI-MAX, I can't even try to find a GPIB device. My computer detects nothing when the device is put in the computer...
Do you have a solution to my problem ?
Is it simply that the GPIB-USB-HS is broken and will never work ?

Did you buy it from NI ?
Could be counterfeit.

Hello,
I didn't buy it directly from NI, I bought it by a broker in a package. So it is not counterfeit.
The device is new, that's why I don't understand why nothing works...

Do you have a message "USB device not recognized" when you plug it ?

Thank you for your answer.
My computer does not understand that a device is connected so I have not a message about a USB device.
And when I open NI MAX and I go on "Devices & Interfaces", I cannot try to scan for instruments.
Here is a screen capture of NI MAX when I open it.
Do you have any other idea ? Maybe it is because something is broken in the device, but it is a new one.

The problem is that you bought this device from a distributor and not directly from NI...
What do you get when you go to Tools»NI-VISA»VISA Interactive Control?
Do you see anything like this or nothing at all?

When I go to the VISA Interactive Control tool, I can't find any device.
Moreover, the two LEDs "Ready" and "Active" on the GPIB device are off.

What is the serial number on the label of the unit? I can log into my account and enter under my devices and I'll see if it is recognized.
The last time I did this for someone with the same issue it came back as an invalid device.
Or you can try this also.

I tried to register S/N 16A5DCC under my products and it was unable to Validate it, not a good sign.
I would contact the vendor you purchased it from.
